Hi, I am a fairly new Christian, and have experienced such a change in my life! My testimony is below. I attend an Anglican church in Plymouth and my journey since becoming a Christian in 2018 has been life changing. In 2019/2020 I attended the Foundations in Christian Ministry Course by SWMTC, and I have now been recommended for Reader Training commencing in Sept 2021. I am so excited - and very scared! Most of all I am so very grateful.

At the end of 2020 I started attending the Zoom 'Thrive' group, led by Revd Ash Leighton Plom from St David's Church in Exeter. I am sure I was led to Ash by the Holy Spirit as Thrive and Ash have had such an impact on me and enabled me to grow so much - with leading Thrive sessions and so much encouragement. And this has prompted a 'Thrive Plymouth' which will be hosted by my Parish hopefully from Jan 2022. (I want to be settled on the Reader course before we start)

My Testimony
It certainly took a long time for me to find my Faith. For the majority of my life science was king and if it could not be proved by science then it wasn’t true. I then started experiencing holistic therapies which basically kicked my science theory into touch and opened my mind. I think the seeds were planted when we went as a family on a Christian ski holiday as non-Christians. We could not believe how kind everyone was. It was so refreshing. 

It took a few more years though…. I found faith through attending a monthly community market at our local church. I met more Christians and actually started talking about faith to them. 

The actual day it happened was when I started thinking about not having a relationship with the church and my heart felt empty. It was then I realised I needed the Church in my life so I investigated Christianity. And my life has totally changed. I realised that all my life I had an empty God shaped hole which I tried to fill with all sorts - but now it has the perfect fit - full with  God.
